ighland Heart Hookery is a home based business, offering a wide variety of supplies for rug hooking in the traditional manner of wool fabrics in a variety of backings.

ur emphasis is on new, pure wools. The late Dorothy Haytt, a noted Ontario Rug hooking teacher and dyer, called our hand dyed wools "the most beautiful I have ever seen".

ighland Heart Hookery is proud to be the exclusive producer of patterns for rug hooking by: Maud Lewis, Joe Norris, Sheila LeBlanc Joyce and 3H Designs (Shona, Anne and Doug). In addition, we carry a constantly changing variety of patterns from other designers. We are known for our hand dyed wools. We also offer a variety of classes and  workshops, from September to May,  for rug hooking.

NOTE: Doug and Anne will not be available from July 26 to August 8, 2013. Shona may be available by prearrangement. Please telephone in advance of your visit during this time. Doug will be teaching at the McGown teachers workshop in Dudley Mass. again this year and Anne will be visiting friends in the US. We look forward to seeing our friends and customers in late summer and early fall as we get ready for another hooking season.
