This is for students of all levels and
is for instruction and help for your own project. Doug teaches all
aspects of rug hooking. Some of these are pictorals, both fine and
primitive; fine shading , contour shading, or shading with dip dyed
wools for flowers , leaves and scrolls; orientals; mandalas; magical
landscapes; children's rugs; animals; fun rugs; and the list goes
on. In each "open" class, one will find any combination of these
subjects being taught. Beginners can be
accommodated. Afternoon and evening classes are offered the
1st and 3rd Wednesdays each month from January to end April and
September to end November. Occasionally workshops are offered in a
variety of subjects, including dyeing. Known for his skill in colour
planning, Doug assists his students to create beautiful rugs. Doug
has been an accredited McGown teacher for twelve years. Each year,
he continues to upgrade his skill level by attending the McGown
teacher workshops. He also teaches at these workshops. Three years
ago, he taught a course in hooking oriental rugs. In 2012, as he
will in 2013, he taught a course in dyeing. Doug has taught in the
three Maritime provinces, Ontario and the US.. For MORE INFORMATION ON CLASSES, CONTACT:
